Izzy Martin is a senior people and HR specialist with over 10 years of experience providing HR consultancy services to support organizations in building effective, compliant, and high-performing workplaces. Level 7 CIPD qualified, Izzy collaborates with leadership teams to design and deliver HR solutions that are practical, people-centered, and commercially robust. She operates confidently across the full HR lifecycle, offering strategic and operational support from onboarding to offboarding. Izzy excels at helping organizations navigate change, scale sustainably, and enhance leadership and management capability while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices. Known for her ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, Izzy works effectively in fast-paced, agile environments and is comfortable acting as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and implementer. As part of the Nexo HR team, she brings clarity to complex people challenges and delivers evidence-based solutions that are proportionate and aligned with organisational goals.

Jackie commenced her career in banking prior to working with Korn-Ferry, a major people-focused HR consultancy that provides HR consultancy services. Over the past 25 years, Jackie has held senior and Director-level positions in Human Resources at organizations such as Eisai, a Japanese pharmaceutical firm, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, a prominent US law practice. Most recently, as Director of HR, she led the Human Resources function of Liberty Living Limited, one of the UK’s largest providers of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation. In September 2020, Jackie stepped down from that role following the successful integration of Liberty Living with Unite Students and founded Proactive People HR under the ourHRpeople franchise. She plans to transition away from the franchise in 2026 to launch the Nexo HR team with her business partner. Jackie leverages her extensive experience to deliver pragmatic, people-focused HR solutions, addressing issues with sensitivity and efficiency. She is a skilled fractional HR director with expertise in change management and employee engagement. Jackie holds a master’s degree in human resource management (with distinction), is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Additionally, she holds a level 7 postgraduate diploma in leadership and management from the ILM, which reinforces her experience in talent management and succession planning. Jackie has also achieved level 2 (advanced) accreditation in executive business mentoring through the Association of Business Mentors (ABM) and is qualified to use, interpret, and deliver Selby & Mills psychometric personality questionnaires and reports. Jackie is the proud winner of the Property Week Woman of the Year (PBSA) 2025 award and is a bronze winner of Barclays Franchisee of the Year 2022.

Kat has been working in HR since May 2009 and holds a CIPD Level 5 qualification in Human Resource Management (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development). With her extensive experience across various sectors, including a large engineering company, the education sector, and a range of smaller businesses, Kat brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the Nexo HR team. As a valued member of the Nexo Associate team, Kat has collaborated with Jackie since 2022, providing clients with a comprehensive suite of HR consultancy services. These services include developing employee handbooks, policies, letters, and forms, as well as managing investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and appeals. Kat also supports sick absence management, recruitment, and audits of files, documents, and policies, offering clear and reliable advice on all general HR matters and best practices. Additionally, she provides a full range of HR solutions, including administration support with transcription, spreadsheets, reports, document formatting, and calculations. Experienced in using HR systems like Breathe and PeopleHR, Kat also prepares payroll information for clients. Whether you require day-to-day HR support or guidance on more complex issues, Kat is dedicated to delivering practical, professional solutions tailored to your needs.

Julie Bedson brings a wealth of experience to the Nexo HR team, having spent her career working at a high level across both the public and private sectors. With a background in board-level PA and administration alongside Human Resources, Julie has a thorough understanding of the unique challenges executives face and the confidential, professional support they require to achieve their business goals. As a valued member of the Nexo Associate team for the past three years, she has provided HR consultancy services and administrative support that consistently meets the highest standards. Her HR solutions encompass a broad range of services, including recruitment, creating and maintaining policies and procedures, absence management, and the preparation of template letters for absence, disciplinaries, and investigations. Additionally, Julie is a Breathe Accredited Partner, offering HR system set-up and support to clients using this platform. Alongside her HR expertise, she provides comprehensive executive office support, including diary management, appointment setting, and travel and accommodation booking. Julie is experienced in both virtual and on-site minute taking, social media support, and creating and updating process documents and templates. She also offers data entry, data cleansing, and file organization, ensuring clients have the administrative foundations in place to operate efficiently. With her broad skill set and commitment to exceptional standards, Julie is well placed to provide the reliable, discreet, and high-quality support that busy executives and growing businesses need.
